St George's

Based in Tooting (25 minutes from central London) in the south west of the capital, St. George’s, University of London is a small, tight-knit campus within the hustle and bustle of one of London’s largest hospitals.

There’s a hall of residence a short walk away and the students’ union is based on the third floor of the main building, making everything within easy access.

It’s no surprise that medicine is the principal subject on offer, but it is worth checking their prospectus as they also offer a wide variety of medically related courses. St. George’s would probably best suit students eager to enter the various medical professions, and want to be close to the action straight away.

Notable alumni from St. George’s include a number of famous doctors and surgeons, including Henry Gray, author of Gray’s Anatomy, as well as the comedian Harry Hill.
